Double Denim

Dare to Wear

A bit of work from last year, using print screen with different faces of random peolpe cutting there eyes nose lips and teeth to create a dismorphed face all over the dress. The collor was made from recycled plastic red bags cut up in to webbing.

something for my journey

He'll put you in a koma

David Koma

stunning new A/W collection from david koma, his statement dresses are usually sculprial with heavy embellishment, with this showing he wanted to create the shilloette of different shapes and the patterns of dots and circles and all things round with a few pom poms thrown in. Koma explanined that the pom poms could of been a real challenge to keep sophisticated and classy he wanted to keep the image of the woman sophisticated but with a fun twist.

Something about mary

Mary Katrantzou

Mary is a up and coming new designer from athens greece, i discoverd her new A/W collection in london fashion week, i was shocked and obviously loving the work she has created. Her use of prints and colours are so show stopping you wonder how they all work together with layer up on ayer of prints wth peplum lampshades oves tight drain pipe leggins... it all sounds to much to take in but mary has worked it really well, i love ever inspiration from taking beauitful artiscic vases with mosaic formation with rich colour pallets all the way through the collection, so glad i found this collection it was a breath of fresh air and ill look forwarsd to seeing more

'aurevoir galliano'

Karl Lagerfeld on John Galliano fired by Dior (VOGUE.COM UK)

The story has unfolded about mr galliano cheif exec of Dior disrespecting people in a paris cafe, subsiquently this has effected the fashion indusrty immencly. his ridiculous drunken slurs to strangers about their religion and anti-Semitic views was caught on video and publised to a british newpapper. I am a big fan of galliano and his work like many others but to me i find what he did  ridiculously stupid, i mean we all go out and get pissed and say things we shouldnt have said and regret every minte of it the next day, but a well known fashion designer should have more sence.

The video purpots to show the designer saying that he " loves hitler" before telling the horrified couple that their parents or ancestors should of been fucking gassed!

We may not no weather galliano was wound up to say theese things, but i carnt imagine anyone saying this for no apparent reason, maybe he can justify his actions and come back as creative as ever.
